EX
EXs are strong cards that are usually basic. There are new types of EXs that can be stage 1 or 2 like the Arcanine in the picture. The new EXs are based on the new Pokemon games, Scarlet and Violet. In these games the Tera phenomenon was introduced. This is when a Pokemon becomes made of crystal. There are 2 Tera EXs which are Gyarados and Arcanine.

GX
GX cards are some of the older Pokemon cards. They can be Basic, Stage 1, or Stage 2. They can also be tag teams. Tag teams are GX cards that feature 2 Pokemon.
